Rlizabeth Taylor Dead

Dame Elizabeth Taylor , one of the 20th Century's biggest movie stars,  has died in Los Angeles at the age of 79 on 23 March 2011.

Taylor was an English-born American actress, and recognized not only as a talented and award-winning actress, but also for her glamorous lifestyle and beauty, with distinctive violet eyes.

"At the age of 12, National Velvet (1944) made Taylor famous. She acted in over 50 films, including such classics as Father of the Bride (1950), A Place in the Sun (1951), and Cat on a Hot Tin Roof (1958). Taylor won the Academy Award for Best Actress for BUtterfield 8 (1960), and again for Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf? (1966) with husband Richard Burton."

Resource from http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Elizabeth_Taylor

The double Oscar-winning actress was famous for her iconic roles and many husbands , Taylor was married eight times to seven husbands.

Also Taylor was a Fashion Icon in her period.

When it came to style, Elizabeth Taylor was fearless. The diamonds, the hair, the cleavage: She rocked it out everywhere she went. In her younger days, she favored plunging necklines with straps poised to slip off her shoulders, her hair like a dark cloud around her thickly made-up eyes (word is she was born with a mutation that gave her double rows of eyelashes). As she grew older, her style got even bolder: The seventies brought tight miniskirts and more elaborate headpieces, and the eighties ushered in feather boas, bright blue eyeshadow, and poufy everything. Toward the end of her life, Taylor attended events for her many philanthropic pursuits in a wheelchair, swathed in silk caftans and draped with fur and velvet wraps. In 1997, she won a Lifetime of Glamour Award from the CFDA. Her extraordinary style is one of the many things that will be missed.

Blake Lively with fashion brand

Karl Lagerfeld has chosen Blake Lively, a rising star on the American movie scene, as the official face of the “MADEMOISELLE” handbag line. Karl Lagerfeld personally chose Lively for the campaign, calling her "an American dream girl," and shot the photographs himself at Chanel’s Parisian headquarters.

Chanel typically goes for Europeans, and mostly French women for their campaigns so Blake is the first American to be a face for Chanel.

Blake Lively is a lucky girl. Not only she has recently become the face of Chanel handbags due to Karl Lagerfeld’s special attitude to her but she has now got her own Louboutin shoe.

The high-heeled sandal looks very pretty. It features seven straps in a rainbow of different colors, each fastened with a button. The heel and sides are made of black patent leather, and the sole is red as usual.

Blake Lively famous from "Gossip Girl", is one of my favourite actresses.

Happy Dinner

Today four of my classmates have dinner together in Piccolino, a Italian restaurant under cherry trees. So romantic!

We have talk about our projects and life, the waiter very nice take pictures for us.The food looks refinement.

After the dinner we passed many pubs in fiveway, lots of people drinking outside. I thought the poster in this area will be impressive, especially for new drinks.

Because my main course is brand promotion, I found the fastes way to promote a brand is do advertisment. Advertisment is a form of communication intended to persuade an audience to purchase or take some action upon products. But the ads fee always really high. The most efficient way is to tell a brand to the right people in the right time .

To find the good time and good way is as important as the ads ' content.

Alexander McQueen to Design Kate Middleton's Wedding Dress?

Some fashion news said  that Kate Middleton has chosen Sarah Burton of Alexander McQueen to design her wedding dress.

If the leaked story is true, that Kate Middleton has indeed entrusted the Alexander McQueen label, designed by Sarah Burton, with the creation of her royal wedding dress, it is a bold and brilliant decision - not just for British fashion, but for the industry worldwide.

Alexander McQueen was founded by designer McQueen in 1992, after his suicide last year, Sarah Burton, McQueen's right hand design aide since 1996, was announced as the new creative director of the Alexander McQueen brand.

Alexander McqUueen was known for his tendency to juxtapose female strength and sensuality with fragility in his collections, as well as the emotional power and raw energy of his provocative fashion shows.

Trough the designs from the Alexander McQueen spring/summer 2011 collection designed by Sarah Burton , continued the unique McQueen style. Is the Alexander McQueen  style will be the main trend all over the world?

Culture Chanel Exhibition in Shanghai

For a brand that is without e-commerce Chanel certainly has a few technical tricks up its sleeve.

In China, the House of Chanel is trying to insert a personality into its little black dress: its founder. "Culture Chanel,” a show organized by the fashion house that runs through March 14 at the Museum of Contemporary Art Shanghai (Moca), aims to introduce Coco Chanel. The exhibition, of 400 items including designs by Chanel as well as things that inspired her, offers a peek into her psyche — and it may offer a better excuse for spending thousands of dollars on a genuine outfit, rather than a fake.

Shanghai 2011. In a mix-match globalized new Chinese society, Chinese citizens can better understand branding, brands and the history behind them thanks to educational exhibitions such as “Culture Chanel”. It good for both brand and customer, can be thought a new way of brand promotion.
